Some major flaws in this head unit make it not a good fit for me. I had it unboxed and installed in about 1 hour, and that was taking my time to be sure I was doing everything correctly. If you're not familiar with wiring, soldering, and don't want to possibly cause problems, you may want to have it professionally installed. It's not difficult, just take your time. First let me tell you a few things I liked:
Pros: Very fast power on. The initial first time turn on takes about 30 seconds. After that it is about 2 seconds from engine start to power on.
Nice display. Responsive, no lag.
Microphone was clear, phone calls were picked up clearly and without wind noise.
and that is it.
Cons: The FM scan feature would skip over 99% of every station. Direct tuning the channel would come in clear, but by hitting the seek/scan button it would skip over all the channels.
Never could get the rear camera to connect. Factory rear camera was never recognized.
No SIrius XM tuner (You have to use the app(). And the app is pretty slow to load. It goes decent between stations, but a good 20 seconds before the first song plays.
GPS signal seemed fine, but the physical map would never come up. The "Turn left on First street" was great, it knew where i was, but it wouldn't show the map.
The bezel of the screen was about 1/8" too large for my dash. I know that's not their fault, but it made it look pretty dumb. Just a hair too big.

Packed it back up and sending it back. After seeing other Android head units, this seem to have some of the same problems that you've already come across already.

Really great 8.0 Oreo system.The 1 sec boot work very well, I love it. The screen is very bright and work fine.The radio sounds good enough to replace a stock unit! It supports both streaming audio from your phone and calls and is compatible with any camera that supports a standard RCA video connection.Bluetooth works great and it even downloaded my contacts list from my phone. I can use the "tablet" portion of the radio with my iphone HOTSPOT if I'm out on the road or wifi in a parking lot to get internet.I would purchase again especially for all the options you get for the price.

This is a fantastic double din android head unit. The user interface is very familiar and easy to use. Very fast bootup and highly configurable.Bluetooth works flawlessly (added an ODB II Bluetooth adapter). Tuner easy to set up with good sensitivity, Wifi and bluetooth pair easily, maps (Here Drive) easy to download with browser and use for navigation.
I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for an Android Head unit that wants a familiar experience like a cell phone or tablet and is very easy to customize and works great right out of the box.

I bought this head-unit for a 2006 Ford Explorer Limited V8 with an OEM Premium Audio head unit. For me, it was about the same money to buy this head-unit or to buy a updated navigation CD-rom.

Together with this unit, I also ordered a rear-view camera and OBD2 bluetooth diagnostic tool through a 3rd party:
I would have loved to give this unit a 5 star rating, however, there are a few minor remarks what could improve this unit.
It could be that some of my issues are not valid, but I wasn't able to find it in the manual or settings.

1) When driving during a sunny day, and a passenger has white clothing, the sun reflects in the display. Because the glare, it's difficult to read the display.
2) I could find an option for daylight savings time adjustment.
3) No option to disable backing up rearview guiding lines (as the camera has it already)
4) Wasn't able to connect to the internet through my phones (Nexus 6P), USB or Bluetooth tethering (Wifi tethering works). Often, I forget to turn of wifi tethering; therefor using USB is easier, as the phone is connected to the head-unit USB port for charging.
5) Natively no support for speed-sensitive volume control.
6) I have big hands, not easy to press the "Back" button, maybe for next gen, move the "Power/Volume" knob to the top just under the microphone. Also, its at times difficult to press the virtual keys on the bottom row.
7) Adding an ambient light sensor to the unit would make it possible for automatic display brightness control. It would have been also cool, if the unit would have sensors like a accelerometer and gyroscope.But not sure if its worth to pay extra for it.
8) Not sure if there is a firmware upgrade. The manual indicates its possible but not clear where to get a new image.

Besides the above minor issues, I think this is a great unit. Job well done.
