I love how they look, love the quality of the door handles overall, easy to install. Gives any room that modern look. BUT the part that goes on the frame, is SHARP. Both my daughters have cut them selfs with it already. I've compared to other handles we have around the house and that part on the frame on the other knobs are not sharp. They are smooth.

Replacements for "contractors' special" cheap doorknobs. These have a wonderful solid feel. They're well made and handsome. A bit tricky to install - threading a thin strip of metal for the locking mechanism was fussy work. Also encountered difficulties installing the strike plates: the latches didn't line up with the existing strike plate. In part, this may have been because I also replaced the door hinges and suspect this changed the alignment. I also failed to notice that the strike plate corners are square and the existing hardware had rounded corners. So these were a bit more work than a simple switch but the outcome is well worth the effort.
