Did not work well quite flimsy

I purchased these shoelaces to replace the worn out, traditional ones that came with a low-profile pair of New Balance shoes. Out of the box, I see that they come on a pretty cute display card. The card has eight laces of descending lengths. My shoes only had seven eyelets each, so I ended up not using the shortest included lace. These laces are sturdy and have a lot of give to them. One side is textured to look more like a traditional lace and the other side is smooth, so you can actually turn them around and use whichever side you prefer.

Getting these laces in was much more difficult than I thought and it took quite some time to get them finished. I followed the directions and started with the bottom (smallest) lace. The ends are anchored with a little T-shaped end and it was a pain to get in. I tilted it and shoved it in to get one of the T-ends into the eyelet. It only went in partially, so I put it in as far as I could get it, then used my other hand to pinch and pull the ends through until the entire T-shaped end was on the inside and anchored down to the eyelet. As a note, I tried to speed this up and make it a little easier on myself by attempting to pull the end through with tweezers, but I wasn't able to keep a strong grip with them and the lace kept slipping out of the tweezers, so I ended up finishing it by hand.

After the first couple of were threaded on one side, the process got a little quicker. Once I had all seven laces ready to go on one side, I began the process of securing them through the eyelets on the other side and finishing up. Crossing them over was a different type of challenge and, once again, the most difficult part was when I reached the shorter laces, near the bottom of my shoes. After I got the first shoe finished, I took a little break before going to the other one.

Once these laces were in, they looked great! The texture makes my shoes look new and they are so easy to clean up. I can definitely see how these would be useful for young kids, seniors, athletes, or maybe even someone who just happens to need pretty much anyone else. The only reason that I am giving this product a rating of four stars instead of five is because of the time and difficulty I had with getting these in. I'm still glad that I bought them, but I'm not going to take them out of those shoes anytime soon!

I did not like them. First, they were very difficult to put on my workout shoes. I had to use pliers to pull them through the hole. Second, they made my shoe feel a bit loose; I was excited to workout with them after spending 20 mins trying to put them on. During my workout, it felt like my shoes were slipping underneath me. Didn't feel secure. I suggested to my wife to try them out, and just like putting them on, it was difficult taking them off. I broke 3 of the top "laces" on one set. It might be good for casual shoes, but definitely not for workout shoes.

Perfect for my Chucks!

These no tie shoelace is pretty cool. I like how it looks and love that I don't have to tie shoelace anymore. But there's also a con with no tie shoelace. It's not for all shoes, especially for shoe with very small holes for shoelace. I brought it mainly for my sketcher sneaker but I wasn't able to get these no tie shoelace in because the holes on my sneaker was too small. I was a little disappointed, but it did work on my other shoes that has larger shoelace holes. Overall, I think these no tie shoelace is a good but can but better.
