Simply put...the rating in based on our experience with other Stainless Steel Garden hoses of the same quality and construction. Relatively easy to handle. The bib connection on two of the four hoses has required repair. Not an easy task as the tubing that the water passes through is not of a standard "hose" size and repairing demanded some creativity.

I was given a stainless hose about five years ago, and truthfully didn't give it much respect, figuring it would have the same limited life as the fabric-covered expandable hoses (I don't leave the faucet open when not in use for any type of hose), but that back-yard stainless hose is still holding up despite my casual treatment, the only issue the flimsy rubber sleeve at the male end slides off unless secured with a zip-tie (won't be an issue with this hose). So as I struggled with my heavy, pricy, supposedly 'kink-free' rubber hose in the front yard, difficult to coil and constantly kinking, decided I'd invest in another stainless hose, and after looking at dozens in my price range, ordered the Morvat 100' - received it a couple of days ago, and so far am impressed. It was packaged well, but sensibly, no pointless and wasteful fancy advertising, but everything organized and bagged, the gauge of the steel seems a bit heavier than my old hose, the fittings are definitely nicer, they included a nice spray gun, extra washers, teflon tape, instructions, and not sure what I was expecting of the hose-hanger, but it is really nice, heavy powder-coated steel - I use a decorative hose-pot out front, but will definitely use that sturdy holder for my old hose. Overall, it seems very well-made, and the company seems to have done everything right, hope it holds up as long as the old one - should note that because these hoses have a smaller diameter than regular rubber garden hoses, the water-flow is a bit weaker, but certainly not a problem...

Hoping this will be more long lasting than past hoses. Fingers crossed

We bought it because previous hoses have torn. It is durable and easy to use. The only issue is the opening is not as wide as other hoses.

This is a great hose. Absolutely love it. Looks solid yet flexible. Because of the weight, it is easy to use, as it "snakes" around the flower beds and stays put. Our garden is english style with lots of irregular shaped flower beds and borders. This is my first time using stainless steel hose and now I am converted.
The only thing I am not too crazy about is the storage system. The hose only fits on the hanger if you make a coil about two feet wide and there is no hook/shelf for the nozzle. Still, the hose is so terrific, that I am giving the product five stars. By the way, it is very nice of them to provide a free nozzle, even not of greatest quality (plastic, not metal). Especially since the price on the hose itself is the lowest I could find.
All in all, highly recommend this hose. Really, very impressed and so happy that I decided to give it a try.

Edit 2019: Still love this hose, but would like to add a piece of advice. Last fall when I disconnected the hose for storage, I also took off the nozzle. My mistake! A couple of weeks ago, when it was time to reconnect the hose, a piece of inner tubing about a foot long was sticking out. It took me about 20-25 minutes of fiddling with the hose, to even things out and to be able to attache the nozzle back on. In the future, I will not winter-store it without a nozzle; come to think of it, I might put another nozzle to the other end, so the inner tube stays in place. I do wish someone told me about it, hence this edit to the review.

Edit 2020: I came to buy a second hose, saw negative reviews on top and am extremely surprised. While it is possible, that some individual items were defective, I cannot imagine how this hose can "get busted" or "spring a leak".... I find it really puzzling. The construction of the hose is such, that inner tube is completely protected by metal "shell". It cannot bust unless you deliberately drill through it. I have been using it for three full seasons May through November. It is immaculate! Just a couple of days ago recommended it to my friend.
Decided to replace the other hose (have them on opposing sides of the property for easy reach), because while it is still solid, I am tired of it kinking (it is rubber with some metal reinforcement inside) and this stainless one NEVER kinks, never ever.
This stainless hose is absolutely ten times better than any traditional hoses I've used. And I have been gardening for a couple of decades.
Seriously, people, I do not know what do you have to do to this hose for it to croak.... In short - great hose, great quality, very happy with this product!
