This works well enough and is powerful. Battery maintains charge through all of the trimming. There are a couple of things that would make it better: 1. the trimmer head does not have a 90 degree angle which would make trimming a tall hedge much easier 2. it is very heavy - maybe a cushioned shoulder strap to balance the weight would be very helpful. I would look for something else when it needs replacing that could do what it does plus the two others I noted.

Bought it particularly for clearing some low ground brush. Not designed for that, but it works well. The head is intended to set at different overhead angles for high hedges and only has one angle that will work for close to ground. I knew that going in, so I was prepared. Used that way it gives your back and forearms a heck of a workout, but I am very happy with it. Because of my use, the battery usually lasts longer than I do.

With the help of the extension (sold and shipped seperately) you can cut those hard to reach branches, It's has a little bit of weight to the unit especially with the extension, but they included a strap which helps alot.

So much better than a gas trimmer with a attachment, no fumes , noise. Its not light but lighter than a weedeater with a trimmer attachment . Cuts great and a good reach. Battery life is very good and recharges fast. Remember to use a light oil spray on the cutting blades ( not WD40) Like it so well I bought the weed trimmer too. I would give it 5 stars except for the weight
