Works well. Had to buy because my cat started scratching on my new furniture. Doesn't stand out too much but I just wanted to put them on until I broke her of the habit then take back off because I do hate the plastic look. The little pins screw in and hold he panels firmly to the furniture and doesn't appear to do any damage whatsoever.

Disappointed that the guards are not pre-formed corner pieces. The photo shown gives that impression & I've had them before. I was not expecting to need to soak & shape the vinyl. I have yet to use them & probably won't. Too much work. Wish I had returned them.
