I REALLY want to give this 6" sub 5 stars but mine has a crackle in it during medium playing anything over 100 watts or so and it makes voice coil noises. Not bottoming out or clipping but more like the vc is not perfectly centered in the magnet. Very disappointed. As I don't play it loud enough to hear this noise all the time I've decided it's too much of a hassle to remove it from my custom box and ship it back. I really hate to leave 1 star but I got slighted pretty bad. Over all this sub hits hard and is very clean I have it hooked up to a 300 watt max amp and wired to 2 ohms. DO NOT LISTEN TO ONE REVIEW THAT STATES ITS A SINGLE 4 OHM VC that's a lie. It's true DVC very high quality comp sub. Buy this sub! I just got a defect. It happens! Even defective it is one of the best subs I've ever had. Compare to Sundown. Honestly. The hippo64 is better than the leading Sundown 6.5" I have one.

These things are like wine: they keep getting better and better with age as the break in. I have two of them. Since they are dual voice coil, I'm running four 1000 watt RMS Kenwood amps, one to each coil. I've been running them for about 3 months. Now they take less power to twist my rear view mirror within 15 seconds. The bass is INSANE. You've got to power these with 2 alternators and 3 batteries to reach a good level where your car interior starts to fall apart. The visors, dash, windows, side mirrors, roof, wipers, and dome light visibly move a lot. I highly recommend them.
