EC assembly, took this old 76 year old man 3 1/2 hours. Good instructions and well packed parts. good value for the money, can't wait tickets to use it.

This is a nice piece of equipment but building it was made more difficult for 2: reasons...
First...all of the parts were not shipped. We ordered the Rotisserie kit but did not get the rod.
Second...the brackets to hold the shell together were not included.
Once we called Monument and let them know, they quickly responded within a few days with what we needed.
It's also worth mentioning that the assembly instructions are a bit vague and appear to be translated from another language besides English.
If not for the above I would rate this grill a 5 Star in all categories.

I have put together many grills, tool boxes ,furniture and other items requiring assembly. This was my best experience. The grill came in two large boxes. The boxes had some minor damage but not the contents. Absolutely the most secure packaging I have ever seen.
Strapped in, boarded up, padded and secured. Every piece as it should be, nothing missing and a bag of extra parts.
Instructions were very good. Accurate drawings with the commensurate worded instructions. Step by step descriptions and drawings accompanied by the proper hardwares. Many screws were pre-installed
And all you had to do is loosen them slightly and insert the proper part. Not one hole misaligned or hard to reach. The entire assembly needed only a Phillips head screwdriver. I also had pair of needle nose pliers, but i could have done without them.
A good experience and the grill works as it should. I would rather have this grill over a double expensive W*** r.

I replaced my old grill of 20 years with this one. It is more light weight then previous, but I really like it so far. It heats up fast and cooks evenly. I think having the lighter grill is going to be really nice it that I can move it around the patio with ease.
