I just got this on prime big deals day and it set up with no problems, until I wanted to change the light start time. I hit the green leaf, as instructed, but the arrows to move up and down did not work. Oh no! Did I get a defective item?! No, I didn't. After pressing the buttons abt a millions times, I went to the Aerogarden website, : you have to hit the green leaf TWICE to activate the arrows. That worked. Yeah!

The media could not be loaded. I love aerogardens and have had several. Haven't had a new one in years so asked for one for my birthday.
Arrived on time and packed well. Followed the directions and got it running. One seed pod sprouted. Took over garden. Two more sprouted and are trying to get light but first plant insists on being selfish.
Three did not sprout.
Now buttons won't work.
Garden literally screams (a very loud alarm) in the middle of the night. The first time was a water emergency. Level was very low. I think I had no warning because buttons and readout are not working.
Second time garden screamed (also in the middle of the night--actually early morning 2 am) it had water.
Moved the garden and attempted to reset it. Now it just indicates which button to push to set it up.
But the buttons don't work.
We do have one beautiful thriving lettuce plant and two that are struggling.
I should have just gotten my circa 2000 garden out and set it up with some pods. Live and learn. Newer might be tempting but isn't always better.

Update: "Audrey" is thriving. We've had salads and sandwiches with lettuce several times. One time I even cut her completely back but within days she was as thriving as before.
Other two plants still struggling. Audrey is a space hog.
We water daily and I put a couple of caps of fertilizer in about every two weeks.
Buttons still don't work and readout is not operable but that doesn't deter Audrey!

This was a gift to me. I bought some for other family members for Christmas. The basil and dill took off and it's already time for pesto after just 2 weeks. The stainless by the sink isn't the best idea. I'm constantly cleaning it. The thyme never sprouted. Everything else is growing.

I've had this for a little while, and here are my thoughts:
-Well made, looks good sitting on the counter
-Does what it's intended to do! I have grown different herbs and lettuce, and it worked great!

It was easy to set up. We used 5 of the 6 included pods. We don't use mint so we used the grow anything pods to add cilantro to the mix. It has not sprouted, we sourced the seeds ourselves, so no problem there. We are waiting to see parsley sprouts, but we are not at the end of the documented sprout time. We have met the max window on sprout time for the thyme with no sprout yet. So as the song says 4 out of 5 ain't bad. Hopefully we get the last sprouts, but all in all behaving mostly as expected.cannot wait until herbs are big enough to start eating
