Sturdy design!

I needed a strong container to store my homemade PSMF bread (aka "foam bread", "choke bread") instead of using zippered storage bags. The loaf fits nicely with room to spare, and it keeps the bread well sealed. If it had a more secure top, this item probably probably would not stay on the shelves. I would give this bread container 8 out of 10 stars. Just be sure to pick the container up from the bottom if you need to transport. I created a temporary work around using medium sized rubber bands. It appears to be holding for now.

The item ordered came on time. The bread/loaf storage container is sturdy to hold a 9X5 loaf. Depending on the brand of loaf bread you purchase, all the bread may not fit into the container. It states the container is air tight, I was expecting a snap on lid but in this case the top fits onto the base without the snap so I am not sure how air tight it is. Also because it is not a snap on lid, I've had to be very careful to be sure the lid is on properly.

Was searching for a cake/bread container that would keep things fresh and airtight. This one so far was the best I could find. What would make it better are 'clasps' on the sides to hold it closed for easier transport (if needed). Or better yet, some sort of re-usable handle that could be velcro'd as travel add-on to keep it sealed/together and easier to transport. I used two rubberbands to keep it sealed, but clasps would have been nice. I've seen another model with a handle on top, but based on reviews it didn't seem airtight as a result. The plastic on this product is sturdy and washed well in dishwasher, no issues. Product seems very well made. Works great for home storage/freshness of cakes and breads. The only con is you'll want to secure it better if you're traveling with it.

This loaf cake keeper appears to be made of a very good and sturdy material. While the lid does not lock, it does fit securely over the base. HOWEVER be awre that the size mentioned in the description is from "handle to handle". The inside length is 10 inches and the width is 5 1/4 inches. This will still accomodate a quick bread you bake as most baking pans are 8 x 4 or 9 x 5, etc. It will NOT accomodate a longer baking pan and will NOT accomodate a "regular" loaf of bread, if that is what you are looking for. It is still very well made, and it should be your "usage" that determines if this product will serve your needs. I am still pleased with this item as I need it for quick breads I bake and NOT for longer baked breads or loaves of bread purchsed from the store.
