First I do like the metal stand, I don't like it made of plastic but it's good overall. Though whenever I try and put it on the controller I always feel like I might break it or it might break my controller. I do like the small touches like I can charge my controller while it's on because it has an opening, also like it doesn't block the important buttons. Except for two, the connection button and the plugs at the bottom of the controller but those aren't really needed when your playing on your phone. Overall I like it and it's small enough to fit in my controller case.

I recently got myself a Stadia controller to try it out, and knew that the moment I played Destiny 2 on my phone, I was hooked on their service. To that end, I tried to find a claw under $10 that would hold my phone while playing on the controller. Since I use an Otter Box, my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has extra width, so I crossed off some other claws that wouldn't expand wide enough. This pretty much left this as the sole candidate, and I was nervous because nobody's tried it with a Stadia controller before.

Well, I can firmly tell you that if you push it on from the top to the bottom of the controller, it fits like a glove and is shockingly secure. I was worried that it would scratch the controller when I tried it, but the Stadia is made of stronger stuff that I thought.

There is a catch though: it blocks off the port for headphone jacks. Now this isn't the worst thing in the world; my phone doesn't have a headphone jack, so I have Bluetooth headphones for it. But it means you can't leave the claw on if you want to pick up an online game on your TV though. Whatever though, I get to use my phone more reliably.

Another catch: when you fold the claw down without a phone, it actually blocks the joysticks from achieving their full range of motion. You can position it just above the controller though, but again, if you're not playing with the phone on Stadia, you'll probably be better off taking the claw off. It's handy for portability though.

The other catch is not from the device. I didn't quite realize how light this controller was; placing the phone in the claw adds some weight that you need to get used to. Thankfully, the little pop-up stand on the bottom prevents the assembled setup from falling over completely.

So honestly, these catches make it a four-star rating for using it with a Stadia controller, but I am still IMMENSELY pleased that despite these limitations, I no longer need to worry about finding a place for my phone when I'm using it. If you need something under $10 bucks for your Stadia controller, this will do the trick.

So I've used this phone clip for a bit and it technically works just fine with an Xbox One controller. It's really portable, clips onto the Xbox One controller. It's a little tricky to clip the phone in there, and I'd suggest removing your phone case to get it in there which some might not want if their phone is on the fragile side. (The ROG Phone 1 comes to mind here)

This can fit other controllers with the same length, such as the Steelseries Stratus XL. It works great, however the phone clip portion only goes backward which can lead to the controller feeling really top heavy. Some might not like this, and I certainly didn't so I swapped to the MOGA xbox clip which allows you to adjust how far forward and backward the clip goes which feels like a better choice for a little more money.

That said if cash is tight and you lean back in a chair, the top heavy feeling goes away when balanced right. Not a bad choice but there's better options.

It does as advertised but there are some things to be aware of. On the Xbox controller you can push the sync button to switch between your phone and your Xbox but when you clip this onto the controller, it covers the sync button and/or pushes the button as you put it on. I was unable to put the holder on the controller without hitting the sync button.

It's also a little bit more bulky than you might expect and because of where your phone sits, it does make it a bit heavier than you might realize.
