Hearing Aid Batteries That Are Much Easier to Fit Into My Hearing Aids
EDichter✓ Verified Purchase•August 11, 2017
I love this brand because each battery has a longer "stem", the silver removable paper, that makes it so easy to remove each small battery from its package and position it in each hearing aid. Batteries that do not have this feature are clumsy to use. Duracell Activair hearing aid batteries also have this feature. I wish Costco would require its supplier to make their batteries with longer stems.
As an audiologist, I routinely recommend this brand of batteries to my patients

I am a practicing audiologist, and I routinely recommend this brand of hearing aid batteries to my patients. At roughly $0.25 a battery, they are listed on Amazon at a very competitive price - which is an important factor with respect to how expensive hearing aids can be.
I find that hearing aid users experience longer battery life overall with PowerOne.
A few thoughts in terms of hearing aid batteries: Size 312 Zinc Air batteries generally last approximately 5-10 days. Factors that contribute to varying battery life include length of daily use, the brand of hearing aid, how much amplification the hearing aid is delivering, and whether or not the hearing aid user is streaming wirelessly through Bluetooth compatible accessories. I also recently read a study that showed that the longer you wait after pulling the battery off the tab before putting the battery in the hearing aid, the longer the battery will last. Waiting 4-5 minutes before putting the battery in the aid appeared to fully optimize battery life.
Lastly, definitely check the expiration dates on the back of the packages! They generally come with a very long shelf life - The packs that I just ordered expire 4 years from now. If they don't have an appropriate expiration date like advertised, send them back.

Top quality and convenient packaging

This is the brand available at audiologist practices. Good quality. I replace batteries around twice weekly, so the 10 pack lasts a long time. The perforation on the back to access the batteries is easy to open and re-close and the pull tab on each battery is easy to remove, even with my arthritic fingers When I remove a new battery I put the used one in its place and dispose of properly, sticking the pull tab on the back side of the package. The package fits perfectly in the pouch that came with the devices, easily accessed in my purse. All these features reduce the nuisance factor in replacing batteries.
Fair Value for 312 batteries.

These are less expensive than Bel-Tone batteries. They preform just as well as the Bel-Tone batteries that I have use for the last 3 years. I did in the 60 batteries find about 4 that were dead before I got to use them and that is the reason I did not give them 5 stars. The Power One lasted just as long as my previous brand and in some cases longer. On average I get about 4 days of use before having to change them. I do have a blue tooth TV streaming device which causes extra battery drain. I waited until it was time to reorder before writing a review. I am pleased to be reordering them. Price is fair and quality is good.
****Update**** I am now on my 3rd box of these batteries and I am finding more and more dead batteries in each box. So far I am about way through this last box and have found over six dead batteries. I will be looking for a new source next time. With this I am changing from 4 stars to 3 stars.

Batteries D.O.A.

I bought these batteries for my mom's hearing aid in September 2016. My mom had been using an existing supply of batteries and only recently went to use batteries I ordered (sold by HearingAidPower), and each battery she tried did not work. My dad, a retired electrical engineer, got to use one of his many tools piled up in their garage and measured the voltage of the batteries my mom tried and other batteries that came in the same box, and found that the batteries had less than the 1.4 volts it should have (some had voltages that were less than 1.0).
There are many positive reviews posted, and perhaps our bad batch of batteries is just a fluke, but I thought I'd write a review to provide a counterpoint to the good reviews. P.S.- The label on the box says "12-2016". I presume this to be the expiration date, which goes against the "shelf life 2-3 years" claim in the About the Product section for this product. Good luck with your order.
