Needed for Stovetop Coffee Pot
Paula✓ Verified Purchase•August 21, 2023
This spring actually fits better than the one that came with the original coffeepot. The original was so loose, I knew it would eventually be lost down the drain. It was. I purchased two for the "just in case" scenario if it happens again.
Works on my Farberware 12-cup

I recently took my beloved Farberware 47053 Yosemite 12-Cup Coffee Percolator outside to dump the grounds in the garden, then blast out the filter basket with a hose. When I returned indoors the spring had somehow disappeared.
This spring is a good replacement, even though it might be a little thinner and shorter than the original. I'm not sure.
In order to make it function a little better I took some pliers and pinched the small end slightly, just enough to make it fit snugly on the pump tube. Now it won't slide off, something I wish I had done in the first place.
Next I stretched the overall length about 1/8" to 1/4" to make the filter basket seat better under the lid. To stretch the length I used 2 pairs of needle-nose pliers very carefully. If it's lengthened too much the lid won't seat, or it could pop up while the pot is being heated.
Hopefully I'll never need another replacement spring (or glass bubbler) again, but it's nice to know they're available on Amazon.

Misplaced the old percolator spring, so had to replace it.
