We use multiple diesel machines. I built a heavy-duty pallet for a 50 gallon diesel fuel transfer tank. When the tank is full, plus the weight of the tank and the pallet, I estimate weight at 550 pounds. The wheels glide on our barn concrete floor. The locks definitely lock and are easy to use. Great locking feature, the unlocking is a little annoying because it is SO strong but that's a great thing when you don't want it to go rolling away. They glide both on my concrete and short pile carpet floor and for the price i'd recommend them to anyone. They are a great deal!

These casters are only 3" and usually I think that larger ones will roll around my garage better in between the grooves in the concrete. Most of my builds seem to get stuck in these grooves. I really like the dual pedal feature where one locks the wheel and the other one unlocks it. I will have to use this new cart for a while before I am really satisfied enough to get some more for my next cart. If I am not happy with the results then I will be going for 4" or more in size. Additions: looks like I did not mount them close enough to the corners as the locking tabs are not easily reachable. Probably will move them further to the outer edges where I can get to them.
