Doesn’t fit std. handle threads

Nice mop head, soft won't scratch my RV or cars, but I bought a nice $40 extension pole/handle (8 foot to reach around RV) and the threads on this mop head are too big. I actually have 4 other painting and mop handles in my garage, so I tried them too and none of them fit. This mop head's threaded diameter is Too big for everyone one of them. All are standard width threads, I never thought this would be an issue, now trying to hunt for one that fits or return it...ughh. Find it strange no other reviews mentioned this?
