Bought a new IMAC and none of the old connections (USB-A) worked. I bought these and now I have no problems, at least with my IMAC. Mostly use them with thumb-drives and CD-reader. A few other things as well.

I switched to a MacBook Pro this summer, and the MacBook Pro has all 3 connections being USB-C, and with so much technology still using USB-A, I need these converters. I bought a couple last time from another company, and since there has been a time or two where I could use all 3 at once, I figured I'd get a couple more.
However, if I'd ordered 4 (or 3 I guess) from this company in the first place, it wouldn't solve my problem. On the MacBook Pro, there's two USB-C's on one side, and they're close enough together that these two can't plug in at the same time. Their competitors do not have this problem. Also, the thinner competitors cannot fix next to these.
Overall, they do the job -- 4 stars -- but I wasn't seeing anything about this in the reviews, so I thought I'd put it out there for anyone like me in the future who really sort of needs that functionality.

I have a Mac computer for work that only has USB C ports, but needed to be able to connect a typical USB cord. This adapter works great for allowing me to connect these USB devices to the USB C port and the 2 pack costs less than buying one adapter from Apple. My computer does have two ports on one side and one on the other, so I am able to use both at once, but if you only have ports on one side the adapter is too wide to be able to use both at the same time.
