I feel like it's too small, because the day that I brought it into my room is the day I lost it. I've torn my room apart and I cannot find this thing, I didn't even take it out of the packaging yet lol. I realize that this review might not be as helpful as others but hopefully it gives you the information that it is very easy to misplace, but to be honest what I think happened is a wormhole opened up and sucked it into an alternate dimension I have no idea where else it could be :'^)

A must have item for guitarists! Makes a quick job out of swapping out strings, without damaging your instrument. The winder saves time and allows you to bring em all up to pitch little by little. After a couple of days in tune go ahead and clip the left over string to make a neat appearance.
I gave this one to a new player who was nervous about doing her strings for the first time, she loves it.
While you are at it, get this tuner as well very dependable ,and ACCURITE Korg PitchCrow-G Clip-On Tuner Black
Also this is something to get right away to protect your instrument form low, and high humidity:
D'Addario Humiditrak - Bluetooth Humidity and Temperature Sensor

Handy and less fumbly than it looks. It's nice to have both winder and cutter in the same tool to keep in the case. So far I've only used it to cut classical strings (nylon). Hopefully it'll cut medium steel strings as well; I'll come back and reduce the rating if it doesn't hold up.
A nice feature is that the tuning key gripper socket is made to handle both standard and small sized tuning keys. It has sort of a plus-sign shaped socket, with one shorter than the other for those smaller keys that you might find on a ukulele or mandolin.

This is NOT the standard size pegwinder bit! These are a touch smaller and WILL NOT work with many larger machine head buttons or any bass machine heads.
What it IS GOOD FOR is for mandolin tuners, ukes, etc. The larger ones oscillate if they're not right on center, and sometimes I need a pegwinder attachment for smaller instruments, especially mandolins. This works fine. I had no issues as others have said about it being off center or spinning irregular, the one I got was fine and I'm using it a lot for mandolin work.
Just thought I'd leave this review so people buying it don't think it's the standard size, but it IS a great tool to have when you need a smaller size for smaller tuner buttons.
