Worked like a charm

I bought this to clean and polish the hardware on a pre-loved vintage Lady Dior handbag. The bag charm and all the gold plated pieces were dulled and in some places lightly scratched. I used the inside cloth first and right away you could start to see the difference. The metal started glistening right up and the scratches were definitely lifting. It cleaned up all the metal really, really well. Then I used the outside cloth to buff it and give it some extra shine. Wow, this was definitely a 5-star purchase. I was even thinking of either getting all the hardware re-plated or dipped or finding some sort of re-plating machine myself. I'm sure the cloth has many other uses, but for me, this was my experience with this product.
Some are great, some are duds...

I'm a professional jewelry maker, so I do a lot of polishing. I have purchased over a hundred of these Sabrina silver brand cloths over the years and usually order 6+ of them at a time. When these cloths work, they work great on all kinds of metal and tarnish. However, I would estimate about 50% of the cloths I receive in each order don't work AT ALL. You can grab a brand new rag and polish until your hands are raw and the tarnish won't budge. Then you open up another new rag and the tarnish will rub off with very little effort. I have no idea why some cloths refuse to polish, but you can feel a different texture when polishing with the duds, like it feels like you're rubbing two slick surfaces together, while the "working" rags feel like they're grabbing grease or residue off the metal until it's clean. Also, the rags that "work" will shed a bit of dust when you aggresively polish something with texture, while the "duds" won't shed at all. I have no idea why exactly this happens, but it probably has something to do with whatever cleaning agents they soak/coat the rags in that makes them not work once they're washed. I give these 3 stars because they are pretty cheap and half of the rags in my order usually work great, but I loathe having to throw away useless rags I purchased. I may attempt to return the defective rags at some point, but in the meantime I've been trying out other brands to see if they consistently polish well at a reasonable cost.
Love! And will be buying more!

If you have silver jewelry, these cloths are an absolute necessity. A couple (at least) years ago I put most of my 100+ pairs of earrings into open plastic bowls and lidless boxes temporarily while we painted and spruced up the bedroom. As it tends to do, life interrupted our plans, and my earrings stayed in the cupboard in the bathroom for for a very long, unplanned length of time. Since silver is my preferred metal, when I finally pulled out all the various containers and started to put them back in the holders, they tarnishing was appalling. Some of the pieces were almost black and I was in tears. I tried some small squares that had been enclosed with a few pairs I had bought over the years. They helped a little, but since none of them was less than several years old, I think they had lost a lot of their cleaning capability. I bought one of these hoping it would do a better, easy job, and OMG! What I had begun to think might take years to do now will be done in a few days. Earrings in silver (mostly), copper, and even a little brass are coming clean beautifully. I also did some favorite bracelets, necklaces, and yes, chains (isn't perfect, but helps a lot), and the results have been amazing. I will be ordering more of these and doing the silver pieces I've been hiding in the buffet for years because I so hate using silver polish next. Then they can go in the china cabinet where they can be admired. Somewhere, that will make Grama very happy!
fall in love again with your silver trumpet

I play a silver-plated trumpet. During practice breaks, I polish my horn with this cloth. Great way to care for your instrument and save time. No cream or liquid needed.

This product consists of 2 pieces of cloth sown together. The cream cloth contains the polishing compound, which turns into fine black dust when rubbed against silver. The blue cloth removes the black dust from the silver surfaces. If you don't remove the black smudges from the silver surface it will end up on your fingers. The jagged edges on the blue cloth shed, which is annoying. Lots of tiny bits of cloth fall out.
Better than a paper towel!

I cannot emphasize how worthy a purchase this is. I bought this specifically for my engagement ring (backstory I went swimming for an extended period with it on & it became tarnished -- I was too lazy/poor to get it cleaned professionally so I've gone 2 years without wearing it while it sat and grew more and more disgusting in a box) which was FILTHY! I cleaned 5 items in this a pair of sterling silver earrings, a pair of gold earrings, a sterling silver necklace, a pair of eyeglasses, and a FILTHY sterling silver & diamond Kay's engagement ring. If you are cleaning disgusting items not just shining up ones you wear frequently you MUST buy the Blitz Gem cleaner & Polishing Cloth to go with it.How to clean disgusting ring instructions:
1. Put in MAX amount of gem cleaner allowed by instructions
2. Run for 1 cycle
3. Use a cheap toothbrush & scrub the **** out of it
4. Rub with cloth until fingers are raw
5. Run for 2nd cycle
6. Repeat 2 & 4
7. Rinse with water & wear!Would recommend, this product will seriously change your life if you wear jewelry/glasses regularly.
