Tri suits run smaller than tri shorts
Rubiel R.✓ Verified Purchase•September 22, 2023
I know fit is the most important thing so I am 5'9, 145lb, chest 38, waist 32 I order medium. The fit is perfect. I first ordered size small but was too tight. On their Tri shorts alone I'm size small, medium was a little lose on me. Medium on their Tri suits, small on their tri shorts.
Decent Tri-Suit for the Price - A few Drawbacks

Pros - Decent construction and materials, medium fit was near perfect for me (5'11", 162 lbs). Chamois pad is excellent for riding; I was able to do 3 or so 90+ mile rides and felt no discomfort. Suit felt snug for both rides and runs.
Cons - Probably not intended for long-distance races; while the chamois is good for riding, it cause chaffing during long runs - once at 8 miles, and the second time at 13 miles... needless to say I was in a lot of pain afterwards. I think it has to do with the amount of moisture it traps in the pad, but during long distance events you just sweat a bunch. I'd wouldn't hesitate to use it for an Olympic distance events or short.
Material and stitching is probably 10 year old technology - there are new hydrophobic fabrics out there, with near seamless flat-stitching at every seem; this is not one of them, but again for the price its a good value if you don't want to spend $150+. Also I've heard stories of these race suits starting to fall apart after repeated washes during weekly use; I'd probably only use it for actual races and training bricks leading up to a race event, and not daily use.
During swims I felt more drag than if I'd just worn my spedo jammers. Again probably because the material is your standard Lycra and not one of the new high-tech fabrics.

Not too bad just not the greatest

I liked how it fits. A little tight on my chest but to be expected. Only down side is I wore it today for the first time and there is already a hole on my inner thigh from the bike.
Great suit for the value

The suit was very comfortable and wicked moisture very quickly. I wore it for all three legs of the race, which cut down on my transition times. My only complaint is that the edges of the biking pad were slightly rough and caused some minor abrasions on my thighs.
I may not be actually swimming faster - but it feels like it!

The Elite is a compression fitting suit which I bought primarily for the swim. The fit is snug, and feels wonderful in the water. I will look to buy another soon.
