This is my second Sherpa dog carrier. My little mini dachshund actually outgrew the first one. He's about 16 pounds so I bought this medium which is better for his weight. It's taller and wider than the small one, so he can move around easily. We travel a lot on Delta so I got their recommended carrier. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it has less mesh see-through areas. The back and front actually have flaps that you have to lower or rise yourself. I think that is unnecessary. But I think if you have a cat they might like it. Also, the zippers are a bit harder to open and close. I hope this is just because it's new and that they'll get easier as time goes on in. All in all it's a great carrier and for the money a good buy.

I was worried the Large sized bag would be an issue at the airport but Southwest staff didn't even blink an eye. Carrier fit just fine under the seat. All good and my dog did well, too. I like how the bag folds down, and also how it seems to maintain its shape "” no sagging!
