This is a GREAT gift for anyone in your life that's into bath bombs or spa stuff. The box it comes in is super cute with a ribbon on top that just ties it all together. Inside, the bath bombs are nestled on a light bed of straw and wrapped in pretty packaging with labels so you know what scent each bomb is. The box itself is pretty hardy and hasn't become too damaged in the year I've been using these. If you're like me and you don't use bath bombs super often, this is a great buy for the price. If you do use them a lot, it might be a little overpriced, but still not outrageous.

The bath bombs themselves are great, and super fun to watch. The scents are my least favorite part, but still aren't bad. My main issue with the scents is that certain scents are a little overpowering, while others are hard to smell at all. For instance, the ocean one is kind of hard to smell, same with the rose, while most of the other scents are super strong and almost overpowering. I don't regret this purchase though, they've been great.

I have thought about this for some time. At this time I see that 32 people have rated my review helpful. That would seem good for a solicited 4 star review, wouldn't it? Apparently the vendor doesn't think so. I was asked to delete this review, after everything I did and all the time I put in, after they requested my HONEST opinion. As soon as I had confirmed receipt, the vendor began sending repeated messages asking as to why I had not yet posted my review. I don't know about you but I rarely take more than one bath with bath bombs, per day. For rushed days, showers will do, but they are not for bath bombs. They were very polite, as in the beginning, but it became annoying. I didn't let it influence my opinion of the product. This opinion has not changed. However, it is for these reasons that I will no longer be doing solicited reviews. For all of the other vendors out there, operating in good faith, my apologies. I am not talking about you. But please, understand when I say, I will no longer reply to your requests.

I was encouraged to buy these and reimbursed in return for an honest and thoughtful review. I've been thinking about this for some time, since finishing all the bombs, and I really wish I could give 5 stars, but I can't at this time.

First: The packaging was cute and very appropriate for gift-giving. Not only was the container tied with a gift-y, sparkly ribbon, but the bombs inside the container were extremely well packaged. They rested on a bed of shredded paper and each bomb was twice-wrapped. The outer wrapper was tissue-paper, such as the type you stick in the top of gift bags, color-coordinated to the scent of the bomb, and secured with a label naming that scent. When you open that, each bomb is shrink-wrapped with plastic. I'm sure this is to retain scent and protect from moisture. You should have some scissors handy, to pierce this, before you get in the bath. One thing I would mention to the manufacturer - please try to use some better contrast for the lettering on these labels. Bathtubs usually are not all that brightly lit, in any house I've ever had. You really don't want an electrical fixture directly over a shower unless it's a specialized fixture and is flush with the ceiling... and I really prefer soft lighting in the tub. At any rate, it was very difficult to read the white lettering on the light-colored backgrounds.

Second: The bombs themselves: There were 6 scents listed in the ad - Lavender, lemon, fresh mint, vanilla, natural ocean, and rose. In my package, I got chamomile instead of natural ocean. I didn't realize chamomile was a scent until I got that. If you are sensitive to perfumes, you might just be able to use these. The scents were very light. A bit lighter than I might like, actually, and once the fizz was gone, the scent didn't last but a few more minutes. The color in the water lasted longer. Some of them seemed to have more fizz than others. The fresh mint bomb jetted all around the tub on the surface until it has lost most of its mass. Most of the others sank to the bottom and just fizzed away. The chamomile turned the water a bright yellow-orange and the rose turned the water red. The other colors were very light. My skin didn't itch from any of these, and I am usually sensitive to any scent/color in bath additives in that way. It didn't make my skin oily, but I did feel moisturized on my legs.

The manufacturer/vendor is polite and easy to work with - unlike some of those that contact me trying to get my reviews. So much so that this is the first time I have agreed to do this, and I am not sorry that I did.

Will I buy these again? Probably not for myself. It's more of a luxury item. I don't spoil myself in that manner very often. I'm much more likely to buy a special book or some type of crafting equipment, instead. I might buy these as part of a gift package for someone else. They are not perfect, but they are worth the money, I think. I have several family members who are just as sensitive to some bath products as I am.

Note to manufacturer: If you would come up with a set that were ALL pine scented, like the bombs we used to get in Europe when I went to visit my grandmother - with a lot stronger scent than the ones I discuss above - and I will be a regular customer.
