I work in IT, we duplicate many drives for quick installation/repair of our company's desktops and laptops,.
Originally I bought this Fideco unit because beside the cloning feature of the dock, it also had a memory slot which is a great advantage because we always misplace the memory card reader and have to buy the thing again and again.
After using it for a while I'm glad to report excellent drive recognition, so far it worked with small and large-side disks no problem (2Tb is the highest I tried), and backward-compatible with older SATA disks.
All in all I love my Fideco for being great value and recommend it to anyone !

The cloning device works great, is an excelente product. I have cloned a 320GB laptop disk in a 1TB SSD disk in less than 35 minutes,
a) Place the disks in the right order,::1:: is where is placed the original ,::2:: is where is placed the target disk;
b) Turn on the device, press the clone button and wait until the light stop blinking.
I followed exactly the instructions as they're detailed. Once I replaced the disk in the laptop, everything works perfectly.
