Bought 2 other Cash Drawers prior to this one. The first was like a light duty kids lemonade stand quality with a plastic covered drawer front, and would pop open if you just slightly bumped it. The second was a little better made, BUT, the RJ11 cable was hard wired into the case making the issue of a damaged cable a detriment, to a just plug and play replacement. This cash drawer is VERY Sturdy and the key-way is cut in the fashion of a high priced import auto key with the tumbler pattern cut down the center of the key. The case and frame is of a heavy metal construction and has the feel of a sturdy vault type storage drawer.
