Lightweight, sturdy, and a great price

This is a great light weight, single person Hamic for a great price. My kids and I have all been in it numerous times, and it holds up great, even after a rainstorm. The connectors at it and are not super high-quality, but they work just fine
OK but short straps

I am not sure of the durability of this since I have only used it a couple of times. However, it is good for one person and easy to put away. The straps are way too short. They can be put on small trees but then the trees might be too weak to hold up a person. So you might have to get some extra ropes or straps, which it may or may be be worth it in relation to the price. It might be better to just get one with longer straps even if it costs a few dollars more.
Purchased it to lay in for a while, never tried sleeping in it yet.

Purchased it to lay in for a while, never tried sleeping in it yet. Had to go buy new tree straps for it since the ones that it came with are too short. Material seems pretty good, tried sitting with two people thought and it seemed a bit small but do-able. Might purchase another one with a mosquito tent sometime in the future.
Fat Guy approved!

I've wanted to try hammocks for a while, my son is 10 and weighs about 65lb, I'm 35 and weigh 320lbs, so I was pretty skeptical that a hammock this cheap ($13-14) would hold me. I bought one for each of us, and this past weekend we took them on a cubscout trip. We did practice setting them up before hand, and like most of the reviews the included tree straps are pretty useless, stopped at the hardware store and picked up a pack of ratchet straps and no prob. I was very nervous getting in the first time being such a heavy guy and anticipating hearing a snap and hitting the ground, but it never happened. The straps on the end of the hammock look small and week but proved their strength. We slept in the hammocks all 3 nights on our trip and every night was great, we both fell asleep quickly and woke up refreshed. The other reviews complaining about comfort may have been sleeping straight on, which you should sleep/lay at an angle of about 30 degrees. This makes a big difference, and at 5'10 and 320lbs if I can fit in there comfortably, anyone should be able too. The only complaint I can justify is the tree straps are inadequate at best. They are strong enough just not long enough, but at the price point I wouldn't of cared if they didn't even come with it. We used them to lash up a bag. Get some ratchet straps or decent trees straps, they will give you the most flexibility with different distances between trees as well.
Great value for the money, but not the most comfortable.

I took this hammock camping this weekend and it was fun to sit on and just relax. I tried to sleep on it overnight but was miserable. My back was sore and could not find a comfortable position.
pros
- very affordable - a great value!
- material seems to be of good quality
- supplied with strong carabiners
- very very light
- I weight 180lbs and carried my weight fine. I even had my 20lb toddler with me and hammock supported us both fine
cons
- tree straps are useless. I bought some 10ft straps
- good for relaxing, not good for sleeping overnight camping
- dirt magnet
I wish the hammock was a bit longer. It was too short (I'm 5'8") and wished it was maybe a foot longer. A longer hammock would have given me more room to maneuver for a comfortable position.
