Cool visuals with an okay sound

When I first received this speaker, I expected it to have a bigger and louder speaker inside given its size. So when I saw that it just has one small upward firing speaker, I was a little disappointed. However, the speaker sounds fine. It sounds just as good as my little Jam speaker that I've had for the past couple of years, which certainly isn't a bad thing. I just expected a bit more out of this considering it was more than twice the price (and size) of my old one.
That being said, this speaker does have a few other things going for it. The battery life seems pretty good so far. The visuals are awesome and, while I haven't fully tested the waterproof claim yet, it seems durable and rugged enough that I would feel very comfortable using it outdoors. Overall, I'm fairly happy with the speaker and will continue to use it at any events or gatherings I host.

These speakers are loud enough. I actually keep the volume slightly over 50%, any louder would bother the neighbors. I am on 3/4 of an acrea. I use two speakers synced. I think I saw the same speakers at lowes for decently cheaper than I paid. I am very satisfied with the sound and product quality.

We absolutely love these speakers!! We bought 2 of them and they were super easy to connect to my phone and to each other. I created 2 long stakes from old tiki torches we had that we never used and used the screw hole on the bottom to attach them. We have them spaced about 20ft apart in our pool area. The sound is crisp and clear within a 30ft radius or more. I was also pleasantly surprise that I could carry my phone anywhere within my yard and the connection stayed strong. Up to 40 or 50ft!!! as long as the line of site is unobstructed......Much better range than the former rock speaker we had that I paid $120 for at Best Buy.... very impressed
Now for the unfortunate part. I dropped one and now the light doesn't work :-( Debating whether to buy another one to replace it since the speaker still works well.....

This little speaker was great when I first got it, was so surprised! Nothing I could have complained about, however, I have had this for approximately 3 months and yesterday the volume just gave out. With my phone/media volume all the way up this speaker is really not much louder than my phone. Kinda bums me out as it used to ROCK. Not the world's most expensive speaker but still should have lasted longer than 3 mo. If i am 10 ft away with the door closed on it, I can barely hear it. Would I buy it again? Maybe. Maybe it was just a lemon!
Update: my daughter informed me I'm technically challenged. You can turn the volume up and down on the speaker by holding down the + or -. She had turned it down. Armed with my new info I turned it back up to loud and enjoyed it all day while I cleaned out the garage!

Just got a pair of these, and they powered up, and my phone recognized them without a problem, seems to be working fine, and looks cute.
I know, the description doesn't promise Alexa connectivity explicitly anywhere, but still seems silly for a bluetooth device these days to refuse to work with it, so I am taking one star away, and going to have to return these :(
