Kids liked them. I host a "Ancient Greek Olympic Games for our 6th grade students at the end of the year. These are earned for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers for each of the 5 or 6 events each year. I have been doing this for 6 years and used many different options including the cheaper plastic versions. These are a 4 out of 5 in my opinion. I like them because I spend my own money and live on a teacher's salary. If I had more money to spend, I'd buy some that had more "heft" to them. That being said, these have a solid feel and are not cheep plastic. I would order again based on the value for a decent product.
Pros: They "klink" together like medals should when holding them, kids liked the feel and wore them to school the following last half day with pride, students of past years commented that the medals were nicer than past years (plastic ones), great value for the money when compared to other non-plastic medals).
Cons: The ribbon takes away from the medal's appeal (If cost is not an option, order different ribbons for these medals. Then you would have a very nice prize for kids.)
Advice to seller: I would pay a little more for a ribbon upgrade option
