Better than wearing wet cotton socks all day!

Went on a 5 day cruise and use these for our port days. We did a lot of walking inter dispersed with some swimming/snorkeling. Walking in wet flip flops sucks, so I opted for running shoes. Those however require socks and I don't know about you, but I hate putting cotton socks on wet feet and then when the water drips down the back of your leg"¦..ew. These socks were cool, they offered comfort like a sock(duh) but in a lightweight and easy dry option with some reinforcement so I didn't beat up my feat on the rocks. For things I'd mention though:
1) the Velcro closure is super wide for whatever reason, I'm an average sized guy but to get the socks tight on me the Velcro was off. Immagine the little tag end only attaching to 1/4 of the other End of the Velcro
2) it kept sand out alright, but if you end up with sand in your shorts you're gunna end up with sand in your socks, such is life.
That's the end of the bad. Now a few bonus points:
1) I could go from the ocean directly into shoes and it didn't feel any different than a normal socks and shoes, it was wild.
2) they're surprisingly comfortable without shoes, I know you'd sort of expect that right? But these things are THIN and I am heavy. Long story short, no issues walking over gravel or rocks
3) you look super fly, def cooler than regular water shoe folks

These water socks fit as advertised. Many times you never know if you are getting the right size. These are comfortable and adjustable around the ankle. The sole is hard enough to protect from rocks but soft enough to remain comfortable.
Wonderful for casual beach, but not for intense sports

After 5 years of going to an annual beach ultimate frisbee tournament and coming home with destroyed feet, decided to give these a go. Spent about 8 hours on a saturday and 6 hours on a sunday consisting of sprinting, running, casual walking, and swimming with these on. The break down on different aspects:
- Extremely durable. Despite what they were put through, they held up perfectly. Reviews of similar socks say that intense activity will wear theirs out fast, and these are just like new.
- Value is pretty good. They come with velcro straps and are made of nice material, don't feel cheap at all.
- Sizing is a little off. I originally purchased XL with a men's foot size of 10.5, and had to repurchase a L because it was too big, despite lining up with the sizing chart. I would go one size smaller than what you see.
- Comfort is the big thing here that I need to mention. They felt great walking on the beach and in the water with them. Wonderful to walk across the hot beach. HOWEVER, they are simply NOT designed for intense activity. After these two days, my feet have extremely bad blisters and blood blisters are still coming. The constant turning and sprinting required for ultimate frisbee in these socks just destroyed the surfaces of my feet. They gave incredible traction, but the pain now felt afterwards is questionable if it was worth it.
Overall, a great buy for casual use and definitely saved my feat from heat blisters at least.
