Another plus is that the crown is attached to the brim with only a couple of bar tack stitches. If you are the type you likes the styling freedom of a loose crown, this is an easy thing to make happen.

The hat was exactly what I wanted, except for the front of the hat being stitched to the bill. It was no problem, as I carefully cut the stich and removed the threads. Now the hat looks like it's supposed to look. Liked it so much, I ordered another color.

I returned the brown colored cap that looked more like pumpkin spice brown-orange, and bought this khaki one that turned out being closer to peanut butter tan, but it's ok. A little tea and coffee bumped the color a bit darker for me- almost a coyote brown. This color goes well with a lot of outfits.
The fit is nice and roomy with single layer cotton. Perfect for warm climates and sweaty concert shows. Only con is it is made in PRC.
Would have preferred Taiwan. Anyways, the kids did a great job making these!
