These are great for leftovers! My kids aren't so little any more, both being 18 (twins) and seniors in high school, and they both have jobs and are involved in all kinds of stuff. So it's rare for all four of us to be home at the same time each day for dinner. My husband works overnights, my kids work after school and I'm home during the day.
So each day I'm packing up at least one person's dinner and to save it for later. These containers work great for this, especially because there are also times when my kids are just grabbing something to eat on their way out the door to head to work. So I can put their meals in these and they'll actually take them with them and eat dinner when they get to work. This wouldn't work as well if I just used a plate and tried to cover it with foil or wrap.
These containers are thick and heavy duty as if they were regular food storage containers, but are shaped like the one-use Styrofoam containers you get at some restaurants with take-out food. But what really makes them awesome, they're microwave and dishwasher safe. You get the food separation and sections that you would using a one-time-use container, but the easy to clean and re-usability of thick food storage containers. Great design.

Most restaurants will accept these in exchange for their usual to-go boxes. They're exceptional and luckily they're also dishwasher safe so cleanup isn't so bad.

I have bought them twice, I work in a camp where if you want to take dinner to go we use styrofoam. They are sturdy and the latch is nice, I have dropped my food and not spilled it. They are not liquid-proof, if you have something soupy and put it on its side it will leak. The first set I bought is at least two years because of my rotational schedule I would say they have been used for about a year consistently and are holding up great. The only reason I bought more was to gift to my coworkers.
