I bought these dice to do diceword passphrase generation. This uses dice rolls to produce a random passphrase. Note that these dice have sharp edges and corners so are designed to be rolled on a soft surface. The sharp edges are supposed to catch on the soft surface and make sure the dice flip rather than just slide. I roll then on a short pile rug and they seem to be reasonably random, though I am not convinced they are truly random hence only 4 stars.
