I moved in with my boyfriend who has a memory foam mattress that had been delivered in a box. It's comfortable but I felt like it was way too soft for me to sleep on. I was waking up sore every single morning and realized that it was probably because he didn't have a box spring. The minute I put these on I could feel the difference! I have a metal king base with the wires for my medium to firm new memory foam mattress. It was just too soft for my aging hips. I had to come up with an alternative for firmness. I thought, there is no way I want to keep buying mattress until I find the correct one. I received these slats and rolled them out and placed the mattress back on the top. The difference in the firmness was amazing. What a great solution. If you like firmness, try this alternative.
