I give these backpacks 2 stars for the beautiful patterns and looks. Unfortunately, the zippers stopped functioning within a few days of using it. It seems like it's not the most well put together of products, which is a shame since it looks fantastic. We had to return it for a full refund. We ended up getting this instead and love it - it survived the whole 2nd grade year and we'll use it again for 3rd grade - JiaYou Kid Child Girl Multipurpose Dot Backpack School Bag(Black,Small)

This was our second backpack of the school year. The first bag we ordered from a different company broke after only a few weeks use. The zippers completely came apart. The bag was used by a first grader, so it's not like it was heavy or overly full or anything. We ordered this bag only a few weeks into the school year as a replacement and it has held up very well! The pattern is really cute, the colors are bright and the zippers have held up all year. My daughter loves how many different storage compartments there are, letting her keep her snacks in one space, her school stuff in another, and her coat/sweaters in yet another! We live in the Pacific NW and rain is an issue. This backpack isn't completely water proof, but it did a great job keeping her stuff dry walking to/from the bus stop.

Just got it, haven't worn it yet. I am adult who loves backpacks, but unfortunately most don;t have more than one big compartment and perhaps a smaller pouch. This one has three back compartments. The smallest interior has two open pockets and one velcro close small pocket. The medium interior is open space. The larger interior has a large padded velcro close tablet compartment. The side pocket is helpful but would be better if it has double zipper like the other compartments, it only has one zip around. I thought for a kid's bag there might be pen/pencil holder loops but doesn't have that little feature which would be a nice practical perk. The water bottle holder seems a bit deeper than most. This style has a fabric bottle holder (which I like) - not the mesh. I got the Mia Tile pattern because it was the most adult looking and I thought the navy trim would be more practical. Frankly I love all the patterns. This design has a navy back which you can't see in the pictures and a navy interior. It seems well made. Cushioning on the back too. I am concerned about the zippers - these nylon tack zippers go haywire easily and ruin things. But so far so good.

My daughter loves it! The water proof is also helpful lots of room in it and it has beautiful designs. Best backpack we've ever had
