For a few years been making my own liposomal C: ascorbic acid, phosphatidyl serine, a hand-mixer, and an ultrasonic "cleaner." Doesn't take a long time, except waiting for the ultrasonic to do its part (several, sometimes almost many, 'cycles' of around 8-10 minutes). Made at home, the taste is fine (I like the taste of C and lemons and grapefruits, etc....). But it's not real long lasting -- you use it up in a week or so...
This is a more expensive in $$, but WAY less 'expensive' in time. I continue to take the chewable style (always rinse or brush your teeth after; at least the teeth you want to keep!! Very acidic, yes?) because it's two different routes into your system. Can't have too much C!
