These laces are terrific

My wife had purchased a pair of these laces and she asked me to put them on her trail boots. I was a bit of a jerk, teasing her about them and suggested they were unnecessary. I admit it - I WAS WRONG :) These laces are super convenient and work very well. I am sold.

I'm glad I waited to write this review. These are great. It's nice that my boots don't come untied and that laces aren't too tight. Just wrap it on the top 4 clasps and you're good to go. The parts all work as they should. I got cheaper ones that the plastic parts were too soft and didn't work correctly. NOT this brand. If you're on the fence get them. ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ‘ðŸ»

My Salomon 4D boots are incredible. I've loved them for many years, but they have one fatal flaw. The laces are too long. I would have to do a giant double knot, or wrap them around once leaving just barely enough lace to get tied, but not secure, unless you had them so tight it cut off circulation. Lock laces solved both of these problems. They are so much faster to get on and take off as well. Magical upgrade. I haven't really used them much yet throughout the day, so durability is something I will have to evaluate over time, but the clasp does appear to be pretty cheap flimsy plastic. I assume it will work fine unless it gets caught on something, in that case I think it's popping off easily. I would like to see them include an extra clasp piece so you can pack it in your EDC or your bag if you're a long distance or extreme hiker. It would also be cheap to just buy a second pack and keep with you. They are super affordable.

These Lock Laces are perfect for the really rough job sites I'm on every day. My work boots already have a zipper on the side so I dont need to have regular laces always coming lose. These are one and done. I was originally going to get one of those no-lace-dial things but these are way more practical. Being able to cut them to the exact size you need is actually really handy as well.
