Great Deal, Great Tent, Great Seller
Ol King Kohl•July 29, 2018
First off, rest assured that this seller is reputable and they stand behind their product. I opened the tent to find it had 2 tears in the front door flap which looked like they were cut by a knife. I emailed the seller (on a Saturday) and had a response within a few minutes. They quickly coordinated the replacement tent shipping, and it's now in my hands on Tuesday. Top notch customer service!
As for the tent, I'm very happy with it.
Pro's: The material seems to be durable, and the horizontal seams are taped on the inside. The bathtub floor is more heavy duty than the geertop 1 person I was using previously, and I really like the large vestibule in the front. It's spacious for a 1 person tent. I'm 5'10" and have plenty of extra room. The best part is the price, you can't beat the value!
Con's: Make sure to waterproof the tent before use. I used Nikwax solarproof spray and then drenched it with the hose for several minutes without any leaks. The guy lines are pretty thick and the stakes bend somewhat easy if you're not careful.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this tent if you want an affordable, lightweight tent but you don't mind putting a couple hours into preparing it for the field before use.

BACKPACKING TENT
Moosebone•July 28, 2018
Pros:
I like the over all design of this Trekking Pole Tent... It weighs 2 lbs 8.6 oz as packaged, came with 2 guide lines 9 stakes. Easy to setup.
Cons:
After setting up I noticed tiny holes in each corner of the tent where the stake loops were sewn on, it will need some seam sealer.
One pair of guide lines, could use 4 all together.

Great affordable ultralight tent!!!

So far I'm very impressed with this tent. Was seeking an affordable trekking pole tent and this was the best deal for a tent under 2.5 lbs. Exceeded my expectations. Set up was a cinch and I really like the bathtub bottom and mosquito netting. I took it on a wilderness backpacking trip this weekend and it performed great. It was a dry and I left the vestibule open. There was no condensation at all in the tent. I will still spray it with waterproof spray before taking it out in the rain or moisture. Size-wise, packed down it frees up a lot of space in my pack. It is about the right size for me (5'9"), but would be a little small for someone much taller. However it sounds like the company is addressing that. Setup and takedown takes 5 minutes max. Would definitely recommend it to friends.
Amazing tent for the price!

I bought this tent for an extended backcountry Elk hunt I am going on this year. I figured for $40, if it works I win!
I will say it's a lot better quality than I expected for $40. It does however need a bit of work, but so do the $500 lightweight tents you get from bigger names!
Work it needs:
- I got a silicone waterproofing spray and hit the inside and out for extra waterproofing. I then hosed the tent down for a solid 10 minutes with direct spray. I opened the tent and had 2 dime sized water spots on the bathtub style floor. Yes, it had 2 small leaks somewhere.... Which is WAY better than I expected for this tent. (Also, a side note, you will want to waterproof spray the inside like I did because this is a single wall tent and condensation can build up on the interior. Adding silicone waterproofing can help prevent that. Basically, you breathing makes it rain on yourself if you don't try to prevent it, and you can't stop breathing!)
-I bought some Seam Sealer and sealed all the outside seams on the tent, and the upper seams from the inside for double coverage. I then hosed the tent again for 10 minutes or so and opened it up. 100% leak free! (The floor seams and some of the seams in the tent are already seam sealed with seam tape which was a bonus as well - less work for me). Luckily, it has been storming here so I was able to leave the tent pitched for 3 nights with 3 windy and heavy rain storms, probably 5-6 hours of rain total. The tent was stable and completely dry throughout the storms.
All said and done I have the following in to the tent: Tent - $39.95 w/ free ship, 2 cans of Kiwi HD Silicone waterproofing spray $13.98, 1 tube of Gear Aid SIL Seam Sealer - $5.95, 1 can of mineral spirits - $8.99 (used to thin SIL and make it easier to work with) and 1.5hrs of my time. Grand total $68.87. + time.
Usually people say you get what you pay for, but with this tent you get a lot more! The zippers are good, the guy lines aren't bad (easy to upgrade to paracord if you desire, which I will probably do eventually), the stakes are lightweight aluminum, the mesh inside the tent will keep bugs out. Plus, it all weighs about 2.7lbs. Not uber light, still lightweight though, and for saving $500 dollars on a super high-end lightweight tent, I'll take it! (The lightest tent I could find was 1lb 5oz and $599!)

Price/benefit is the best, tried under rain
MA Rochester NY•July 20, 2018
Price/benefit is the best, tried under rain, I will buy waterproofing spray as suggested by manufacturer to use on seams. Very little rain got into the tent under heavy rain and wind. This is a great single person's tent. It is light and packs small.
