Plenty of room to illustrate or make lists but compact enough to easily fit in my bag and carry around.
I also like the paper. I tend to work with pencil and the paper absorbs the pencil and it does not smudge.

Probably designed for sketching. The thicker pages would make them ideal for that. I personally use them for notes I need to refer to from time to time. I am keeping one for words and phrases I need to remember from a foreign language I am studying. Not flimsy at all.
