iPurifier made a difference in the sound of my streamer when connected to Intel NUC
R. Weitzel✓ Verified Purchase•May 18, 2024
I've been using iFi iPower supplies for my Sonore microRendu, USB hard drive enclosure and network switch, but an iPower isn't available for a 19V DC Intel NUC device, so I took a recommendation to use the iPurifier. I can hear the difference with and without the IPurifier in the power supply chain. I also use an iPurifier for my router and an AC iPurifier at the outlet where these power supplies are connected. I highly recommend.
worth the purchase

very dense and very well made. i inserted it into the power input of my DAC and low frequencies are more shaped and less muffled while higher frequencies are somehow more audible without any eq or manipulation.
Inexpensive way to upgrade power supply

This has been somewhat of a revelation. I believe in the importance of power supplies but good ones can be pricey. I have been using this on my reclockers in my main hifi system, my desktop pc system and even in my car. It makes a nice difference, cleaner and fuller, so it goes with me wherever I go. A nice improvement for a reasonable price.
solid piece

I picked this up because I couldn't find a 12v 3a solution for me at a reasonable price so I decided to work with what I had this was for my Gateway/ Verizon router and not for my audio system per say and it does work even for the audio. I also picked up an Uplink cat 8 ethernet cable that goes To my streamer from my Gateway at the time and it further improved my signal. Ifi makes some nice stuff ill keep trying things to improve on the signal high up in the chain , garbage in equals garbage out so anything you can do to improve the signal and or the data stream or power from dirty smtp's is worth a shot. you probably won't hear much spending more because of the law of diminished returns kicks in. but as a tweaking hobbyist audiophile these things do matter so get one and play around with it , it just might lower your noise floor a touch
Reduces power adapter noise

I'm using this on my Tivo Bolt which comes with a 12volt ac/dc adapter commonly called a wallwort. These are miniature switching supplies which work well enough, but all switching supplies add noise to the output. This device is installed after the adapter and plugs into the Tivo. Voltage doesn't matter, it's a noise reducer. It reduced the electrical noise and results in a better picture from the Tivo. It's not an earthshaking improvement like a linear supply such as an Sbooster(but those are $300-$400) would be , but well worth the money. Recommended
