Great for PFsense

Initially, after purchasing this item I was disappointed running only 88 Mbps on a ping test on my internal network. I played with the settings for hours and then decided to rap things up for the night. I immediately went on Amazon and requested a refund. Well sometime during the night I woke up with the thought that maybe the M.2 SATA might possibly be using the same lanes as the intel nics. So in the morning when I got up and had my coffee I put my theory to work by changing out the M.2 SATA for a regular SATA drive my 8 GB stick of memory and a quick reload of PfSense and to my surprise, I started pinging 980 to 988 Mbps.
Now I have PfSense running with 2 VLANs, a local network, PFBlocker, and a Remote access VPN and still have an internal ping of 900 Mbps with 8% RAM usage and about 3 to 6% CPU usage and also cool to the touch with only 29.7 celsius. Coming from the Unifi USG this thing is a beast and works great. I would highly recommend it.

No complaints here on this mini computer. I bought this to host pfSense router/firewall software on my home network. I was really surprised how responsive it is. If I was to buy another mini computer, I'd have no issue to buy another one. I've had this one now for 4 months. No issues.

Very well designed device and happy with the sturdy construction, the mount frame is awesome as the whole disappears behind the back of my desk.
Added 8GB RAM and Kingston mSATA (256GB) and took less than 5 minutes to install pfSense. The luxury of built-in 5-LAN port is awesome!! The CPU and RAM usage has been under 10% for last two days since I got it up and running.

Still running great, actually been up 29 days in a row so far without any glitches and most devices (hardwired) in the house are clocking above 750 Mbps on speed!
