Excellent Set of Attractive Tools That Work Well- What a Bargain!

This set of Fox Run 10690 cheese knives in stainless steel is a very good deal, at just over $5! I'm very surprised at the low reviews on this, and wonder if the older reviews reflect a different product perhaps. The set I received comes with a planer, a spreader and a cheese knife with holes in it, making it easier to cut thick pieces without unnecessary drag on the knife.
The planer works perfectly, and is able to easily provide thin and wide slices from a block of hard sharp Dubliner. The curved cutting knife works easily and well through my slicing cheese (peppercorn cheddar), and the spreader is perfect for the soft goat pictured. The tool handles are rounded and a decent weight for being hollow, comfortable to hold, and the brushed silver finish is very attractive and keeps obvious fingerprints to a minimum. This set is very useful and i often use the spreader for condiments such as mayo or mustard as well.
I would not hesitate to get this set- at the price, I don't think you can go wrong.

I brought these on a picnic where I served many different sorts of cheese. My guests thought the knives were a fancy touch (especially as they matched) and they had a great time serving themselves.
I actually got lazy and somewhere along the line, sliced my thumb open. It was such a clean cut that I didn't feel it.
They sliced easily and cleaned up simply (hand washing).
These look about 8/10 in quality. They aren't weighty enough or smooth enough to warrant anything higher. They look great, but they aren't Wusthof. They are nicely balanced, but not Henckles.
For $17 (today on Amazon), it's an okay deal. If you hit up HomeGoods or TJ Maxx (or similar store), you will likely get the same deal.

I am enjoying these cheese knives, but I haven't given up my favorite cheese knife from another set that I previously owned. These are a good quality (not quite excellent which is why 4 stars) and definitely do the job and look very nice. I would recommend them if you do not currently have a set. I think that the value is there for the cost as well.
