They sure have changed them since I got mine 30yrs ago! There's an adjustable center to make sure your hat fits snug as well as a mirror in the back so you can make sure everything is perfect before going into the show pen without a run to the bathroom to check the mirror!

I am so happy with this hat case. If you have a hat you care about and want to keep safe this is the box for you. Just make sure you measure your hat to make sure it will fit. This box is gorgeous. I wanted to preserve a Marine hat which I didn't know we had that I found in a closet in a bag. My dad had kept it up there but he's not here for me to ask. I figured he had it there for a reason (he was a Marine although I don't believe this was his hat - it's too new). This case is the perfect way to store this treasure and keep it safe for a long time. Red color is very nice.

I have a gorgeous Stetson that really deserves better protection than the original cardboard box it came in. This hat can is perfect! It is sturdy enough to pack into the truck and not worry about crushing my hat. I like that it has a grab handle -- so much easier for toting it than the cardboard box! The can has latches that clip securely. So it's everything I need.

Got this after I accidentally sat on my last hat and crushed it. Haha! Figured it's a small investment that will go a long way if you travel a lot and need a good way to protect your hat on the road.
I guess I should have read the description a little closer because I thought it was made out of metal being called a "hat can" and all"¦ but it's actually made outa plastic. But, it seems sturdy enough and it is designed really well. I guess time will tell if it holds up.
Hat in the photo is a Stetson "Open Road" for size comparison"¦ as you can see, it's plenty roomy for some larger brim/crown hats. You can get that adjuster dialed in and you can feel confident your hat isn't going to bang around in there.
Over all, looks like a solid product.
