Fantastic bag. I've taken mine (in bright yellow, which is beautiful!) to both Mexico and Costa Rica for use on the beach, jungles, and other wet areas where I've need to carry cameras, clothes, phones, etc. No mistake about it, this is a LARGE bag capable of holding a ton of stuff, BUT it does fold-down to more compact sizes by rolling the top down and then tightening its side straps. That gets it down to a big larger than an average backpack. Everything about it appears to be very well made, from the straps to the zippers and material. When traveling, you can fold it down flat b/c it doesn't have an internal frame. This makes it easy to pack at the bottom of large suitcase. Great bag overall!

Great backpack. I bike commute in Seattle and so far this backpack has kept everything inside bone dry (the reflector is also really bright). My last backpack, which was also waterproof, had so much fabric on the outside that it would dry slowly once it got wet, leading to some nasty smells - the BackSak doesn't have that problem, so I'd recommend it for other bike commuters.
It's got good padding on the back and broad straps that are comfortable for long periods of time. It's also huge - tons of space for everything inside. The chest buckle is a little too high and not really useful for much, but other than that I'd say perfect backpack.

We bought these bags with Irma barring down on us. Harvey was scary enough on TV so my wife and I created an emergency kit and used these bags for essentials. I bought two instead of one by accident but my wife was thankful she got her own, so I kept it. This bag, full, carries effortlessly and fills top to bottom. You simply roll the seam 3 three times and clip the ends to the side of the bag. Sealed nicely, I'd say that you could easily get the advertised volume of 35L because you can get a lot of stuff in it.

I live in Portland,Or where it rains just about every day for my walking commute. This bag is perfect for keeping things dry and I also bought it for the high-visibility aspect (I got a yellow one). It has a reflective spot and a strip along the zipper for night time visibility. It is very durable PVC material that won't rip or tear. The only complaint is the plastic buckles. Mine have never broke but they have a little flex to them and I worry about their longevity.
