The paint is thin and the light colors are almost transparent. This set cost more and has less pieces then other sets but I told myself it was worth it because the pieces were bigger for my 6 year old. In the end I'm going to need to buy her more paint so it wasn't quite the deal I thought I was getting.

Because I read some reviews about the unicorn part arriving broken off and being a big disappointment, I carefully opened the box and checked all the contents before gift-giving. It's packed VERY well, so careful when checking the contents. Everything was also included and in perfect condition. Granddaughter will love it and remember the experience with warm, happy feelings. Great product! So glad I took a chance and bought it! As a Prime member, whenever I purchase something important--like a gift--I always make sure it has FREE RETURNS "just in case" it doesn't arrive in good condition.
