We have a 1940's-themed event at work this weekend, and I bought this as part of my outfit. Other reviews made me think it was going to run very small so I bought a large. For the record I am 5'4", about 125-130 pounds with a 36C size bust. I probably could have worn a medium because while yes, it looks very small when you take it out of the package, it is very stretchy! The large works fine, though. YES it is short/cropped (but that's exactly what I wanted -- it's being paired with high waisted pants. And it's right there in the description so it shouldn't be a surprise), and YES, the sleeves are 3/4 length (which is also right there in the description). It's cute, retro-styled, stretchy, and soft and is exactly the look I wanted. What I don't know yet is how well it will hold up to repeated wearings, or how well it washes (haven't done that yet). But my initial impression is that I like it a lot.

I am 5'5" 140 lbs and usually wear an 8. I ordered the medium too small and tight. I ordered the large. Still think it is too small. I am a 36" bust. The medium pit to pit measures 17" the large measures 17-1/2". I am going to order the XL and I believe that will be the winner! Watch sizing

The white is not truly white (not beige either or off white either). The fit is small and the fabric doesn't really "stretch" so definitely get 2 sizes up... tried and true. It is very nice though, I am getting the larger size. I love that it's cropped so it falls right at your waist but doesn't expose your mid section. Its 3/4 sleeve let's you get away with using it in warm/cold weather. If you're looking for pure white, this is not it.
