Better and faster than digging by hand

Took me no time at all to dig 25 holes with this. Some holes were deeper than others depending on how hard the ground was. I also found that going at a slight slant, rather than straight down, worked better on the places where the ground was super hard. I did have to re-tighten it onto my drill a few times which is why I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars. From the time I placed the order to the time it was delivered was about 18 hours.
The non slip shank is a great feature

I finally replacing this after 3 years of countless uses to the beach. We live on an island and use this auger ALL the time. It has been perfect for making holes in the sand for our beach tent and umbrella.
It is quite rusty but still usable. (Rust is expected with all of the salt water and salt in the air.)

It took a bit of tinkering with the torque on our drill to get this thing really going, but once we got that dialed in it has saved us SO much time drilling down through hardpan rather than digging. I saw some reviews that indicated it wouldn't go through hard dirt, but we found whenever it bound up there was a big enough rock to not get kicked out to the side. We just reached down to pull it out and the thing went like a hot knife through butter!
