I have used this program for several years and am here to share my general experience with it and give you some recommendations.
PROS:
First off, this program is extremely intuitive and the learning curve is low to low-medium.
The tools are simple to use but have a lot of power to them and are versatile for a wide range of applications of use
The biggest benefit to this program over all other programs i've seen including adobe is its 3D model library and model! This program comes with several 3D assets that can be dragged into your canvas super easily, and it has an in-built store where you can find a lot more for free or paid ones made by content creators which is great. This is even better because at least with the disk version, you get a code that gives you $5.00 in credit in the store. But that's not the best part of this, what is the best part is the male and female 3D models that come with the program. These basic characters are proportionally accurate and can be adjusted to any position on your canvas. They also have sliders that can adjust their body type which I use all the time. This is an absolute life saver when you are inexperienced with figure drawing or drawing within proportion. This is what makes this program truly great for beginners. No other program as far as i know even includes this with it.
This is amazing if you want to make comics. I've only made a couple of pages over the years but the quality of those comics are mostly due to this program. It is perfect for comic makers.
This program is CHEAP. A ONE TIME PAYMENT! You get everything+free updates with only one payment. And this program is super cheap compared to most art programs.
It very rarely crashes so it is a stable program.

CONS: (mostly nitpicks)
Adjusting the positions of the 3D models is a little clunky and slowish process, but definitely not something to be off-putting. Just needs optimization.
Sometimes you can't get into an art file by clicking in it in a folder in order to boot up Clip Studio Paint with it. It will give an error. However, you can open it by booting up Clip Studio Paint, go into open file, then select it that way. This is something that really needs to be fixed and is my only major complaint.
Making new brushes is a pain and I haven't figured it out yet, but downloading new ones is still super easy.
The EX version is too expensive for what more it offers.

Should you get this program? If you are a digital artist my answer is an absolute YES regardless if you are a beginner or a pro! It has tools that make making comics easy and fun, It's 3D model library is UNRIVALED and is amazing for beginners. The program is easy to use and can do a lot, and it's CHEAP. I can guarantee that you will not regret purchasing this program over other ones like corel or adobe. The price is just too competitive for what it offers, and it doesn't constantly break. GET IT.

My daughter spends most of her time drawing (she is a young adult and has always been ahead of her age group with her art skill). She is a big anime fan and draws a lot of anthropomorphic characters. She wanted this version for a really long time and was thrilled when she got it. In fact she loved it so much that even when she has had the opportunity to get an iPad, she won't do it, because she said it's not compatible with this program. She would rather use an old crappy, inferior Kindle with a cheap stylus than move to an iPad with an Apple Pencil, if she can't use this app.

This software looked very intimidating and complicated. I almost returned it after accidentally deleting a bunch of tools in effort to see the image I was working on. It was WAY too complicated! This art resulted from my first attempt of using the software, and I think it went alright. I will try the Free 3D art technique that I downloaded later.

Pros: There are lots of features. You can edit photos in this application, which was what I needed. Corel Paint shop is also great for photo modifications. I am also an artist. I love this application now that I know how to use it. I actually did not anticipate this to be my new art medium, but it is now.

Cons: The instructions are terrible and all over the place. I bought the "Learn Clip Studio Paint" book. The most useful thing I found is modifying the palates to make them available.

HUGE tip for beginners: Go to File, Command Bar Settings, click the Tools settings to add individual tools. Click Pop-up Palate to add entire palate options.

This version one is outstanding it works great for me. I'm an advanced artist, so it works really well for me and it would work great for beginners. There are a lot of tutorials on it the only down future I don't like is it continually connect to the Internet I mainly use the paint program in the clipper, is there a lot of wonderful features that you might like or anybody likes you can import poser pictures that's 3-D objects and stuff in there if you buy the full package this is not the full package. The full package should be the ex version which would cost you a good chunk of money getting it but this is a good starter to begin with making always update to the other version which does a lot more thanks great for doing artwork. I have no experience with digital art or photo editing but read in reviews that this software was easy to use. As a total beginner, I agree for the most part. I love creating digital artwork with it and am constantly discovering new features as I use it. However, learning some of the features does take a little time but you will get it if you keep at it. I've posted some of my artwork that I made with it (you can see more on my Instagram account - @digital.twist) and I feel it's not bad considering I've never worked on a digital art program before.

The downside is that it doesn't have a manual describing features and I haven't been able to find many videos on how to use it - so you are on your own with operating it. Additionally, the software randomly saves/updates multiple times while I'm using the program but this only takes a couple seconds. It's just annoying when I'm drawing something and it randomly stops to do this. Overall, I'm very pleased! I have unsteady hands and don't have time or money to spend on materials needed for traditional art. I feel like this is a great alternative and has actually expanded what I am able to artistically accomplish - with no mess like when you use actual paint. I use it on my laptop but I did purchase an XP-Pen display because I think it's better for accuracy and ease.
