To start I would've given this a 4.5 if I could've.
What I wanted to replace was the big trader Joe's tote(with the 3 straps two small/1 for over the shoulder). So that's the reference point.
The cons:
* depth/width in comparison to the ref.. It still holds alot and has two compartments. It's a sleek version in black.
* the logo but it's not a huge deal hence I wanted to give 4.5
Pros:
* the strap has a long extension so if you are thicker you can crossbody this bag.
* able to fit all items & 2 extra foldable bags for shopping.
* the compartments are deep and fit a phone great. No need to bottom of the bag search. While they aren't so wide (compartments) you can fit a phone in one a wallet and keys in other.
* there is a zipper closure which is great.
* the material feels strongs and looks great. I'm tough on bags so it seems to hold also lining on inside I believe.
Overall I didn't want a wide messenger bag, and I didn't want a branded tote. This fits. I can flip it over to hide the logo should I want, but the logo isn't ugly.

I love this bag, can't wait to get it in a different color. Lots of room and it has a zipper!!! That made me happy because I've had other hobo bags and they didn't have a zipper on them. I got this bag because my daughter is one now and I didn't want to carry a diaper bag anymore. So it's room for two diapers, wipes and her cup without it looking bulky. My stuff is in the bag as well. Very comfortable to carry, the fabric is very durable, not cheaply made. Will order another one soon

I go overseas for 3 months at a time to live. I could have bought a tote bag when I got to my destination, but then I saw this and like the fact that I could use it as a cross-body bag which you normally can't do with other tote bags. It weighs hardly nothing, takes up very little space in my suitcase and just seemed like it would come in handy. I didn't know how handy until I started to use it. In fact, I used it so often that I bought another one for my next trip in a different color. You can't go wrong for the price. It carries quite a bit and leaves my hands free.
