Good Entry Level Grinder

So I waited a while to write my review on this grinder because I wanted to really test it. I've tried multiple bags of whole bean coffee and it's always given me fairly consistent results with the grind. For an entry level grinder it's solid, its not great, or amazing but it's solid. The biggest problem you'll have if this is your first grinder is the ease of use. There's no way around it but good ol fashion trial and error. For myself I've never owned a grinder but I did a little research before purchasing a hand Grinder like this one so I had an idea of what I was doing.

Adjusting your burr is going to take a little practice because unlike more expensive hand grinders there's no dial there's only a metal sprocket looking adjuster that you have to go off of and each time you loosen it you're sort of eye balling the burr here and there to know what grind you're looking for. So for ease of use its not easy out the gate but it is easy and super simple to adjust so it falls in between easy but not so easy. The hopper is perfect for single use and even making a little extra. The amazing thing about this grinder is you get an extra glass container so if you don't feel like grinding your coffee every morning or want some for the next day take a little extra time to grind another batch and store it in the container they give you. I really appreciate this with this grinder.

Short comings with it you get what you pay for to be honest. It's not the greatest quality in the sense of it does have a slight wobble when you're grinding with the burr. It's a ceramic burr not metal. If you really tighten it down theres still a slight wobble. Overall even being a ceramic grinder it still grinds the beans pretty good if you adjust your burr correctly there's very few if at all big pieces left in the container after you're done grinding. Other down side ceramic looks really gross after awhile of use even if you really clean it good and let it soak after each grind it still becomes discolored, it is what it is. For an entry level grinder I'm happy with my purchase it does its job pretty good and I personally would recommend it if you're starting out getting into grinding coffee. If you do have the extra money, spend a little extra get a hand grinder with a metal burr with a easier to understand burr adjuster.
Great Grinder - Easy to Use

I decided I wanted to start using a French Press coffee maker. But needed a grinder for the coffee beans. I did some reviewing of various types of available grinders. This one (11oz) seemed to be the simplest to use and easiest to clean. I ordered it. The product insert was easy to read and understand. I watched the video (YouTube) that was indicated in the insert. I took the unit apart and cleaned it all. Then I ground beans. I knew I wanted a coarser grind but wanted to see what a fine grind would look like. So I ground some beans fine. Then reset the unit to a coarse grind. It did exactly what was indicated on the instructions. I have used it daily since. I did have a question on how often to clean the unit. I sent an email to them. The very next day, I received and answer. (Response: "The number of times this is cleaned also depends on individual use, our recommendation is to clean it about 10 times of use.") I am extremely happy with the purchase. I am very glad to have purchased it.

I moved to Ecuador five years ago. Although there is excellent coffee here, finding a good coffee grinder is a challenge. The electric ones are very expensive, and the manual ones just don't work very well. So I ordered this one from the US, and this one fits the bill very well. It does a good job of grinding the coffee, gives me a little bit of a anaerobic workout, and is very easy to clean. I haven't tried it with things other than coffee, but I think I might use it to grind corn since cornmeal doesn't seem to be a thing here.
Great!

Love the fresh ground coffee scent filling the kitchen. The difference from store bought ground or k cups for that matter, is noticeable.
Takes a few tries (as it says in instructions) to get the grind level where you want/need it, but well worth the effort. I use a toothbrush to clean the ceramic, easy and fast. Would highly recommend. I gave it four stars because it comes with 2 jars and only one lid and I can't find a lid the same size.
Great machine, great price

OK. . .I'll be brief. I've been grinding my coffee in a spinning blade device. I use a French Press and was getting a lot of fine coffee mud at the bottom of the cup. I look for a course grind but also got a lot of fine powdery matter. This hand grinder mostly eliminates that problem as it produces a consistent course grind.

My only caution is that it's kinda slow in grinding. It takes awhile to get your coffee finished.
