I don't know why I didn't think to order something like this before now! I do a fair amount of tree trimming and then run the branches through a wood chipper. I would always wear long sleeves, but my arms would still get scrapped and scratched, but now no longer! They are very comfortable and provide great protection for my hands and forearms, nearly up to my elbows. I don't have particularly large hands and like my gloves to fit pretty snug. For reference, I wear medium sized non-latex medical gloves comfortably. I ordered the medium size and they fit great. I haven't had them long enough to determine their durability, but I like them enough that I will likely buy them again whenever they wear out!

UPDATE:
I just used these for about 6 hours this weekend running limbs through a wood chipper. They did a good job protecting the back of my hands and forearms, but a couple critiques:
1- I wish they had some way to cinch the opening. I had a lot of debris and dirt go down into the gloves, so much so that I had to take them off several times and shake them out
2- I wish they had more padding on the palms. Granted I think these are more for gardening, but my palms took a bit of a beating. I might try to wear a pair of heavier duty gloves over these next time...

These gloves work. I don't post too many reviews,but this is worthy of an excellent one. I have never worn falcon gloves but I feel like these are a close match. I was able to pull /yank on the briars to pull them out of the trees that they were intertwined in. I felt not one thorn.

I've only had them four days and used them three days, thus so far are acceptable. I can pull blackberries, cut and plant roses, dig in the clay and dirt for hours without blisters. Being they are leather, they do get wet so I wish I purchased two pairs. I think, considering I purchased large and probably could do fine with the medium I tend to get splinters in the gloves. I hope these last longer than the "rose" glove I purchased at ACE hardware last spring, and my fingers are now perfect for cell phone but not for gardening/farming. I would recomend them. I haven't tried the bobwire yet.

I am not a frequent reviewer however I am stunned by these gloves. For years I pruned roses with regular gloves which allowed jags & sticks from the thorns. Process took forever since I had to avoid thorns with ever single touch. I heard about these gloves and doubted that they were entirely effective. So far I've done fall pruning with these gloves 2-3 times (bringing the roses down in stages). I am stunned at these gloves. I have not had a single jag or stick from thorns. I no longer have to be careful to hold stems gingerly; I simply grab the stems (typically in a bunch), cut them, and toss them without worry of pain/injury. These gloves are worth every single penny that I paid and more. Strongly recommend!

Nice gloves! I got them for my wife to prune her rose bushes and they work great! The leather is really soft, so I was afraid that they wouldn't hold up to the rose thorns, but they keep the thorns out perfectly without being super-thick and uncomfortable.
