This was the 3rd mannequin we ordered as my daughters friends had to have one after playing with hers. It is fun to style and learn on how to try new things. My daughter can practice braiding as often as she wants.

My 8 year old loves playing with hair and wants to be a hairdresser when she grows up. I started looking at toys, giant doll heads with doll hair, but the reviews were terrible. So I found these hairdresser practice heads and this was the hit of Christmas! This one is likely not real hair for the price but you can run a brush through it easily. We have set it up at a few different tables no problem. It does shed, so we got her her own brush. My husband and I are using it to practice braiding on and our daughters play hair salon. This was perfect for the cost and i'm So glad we got it instead of a toy. Not sure how a professional would rate it but it's perfect for us.

Bought for my daughter. The quality is pretty good. The hair is easy to braid and come. All hair is in tacked still. Recommend this.

This a great head for me because I'm trying to learn how to braid, I completely stink at braiding, and I need some easy hair to braid. Yay!! Creepy head with rainbow hair that you can strap to a table and really freak out your guests or loved ones. Good times! And then you can use it to learn how to braid. It also reinforces that the problem wasn't that I'm terrible at doing my hair, I just need 7 times as much if it, like this mannequin. The different colors make it wayyy to rewarding every time you learn how to do even the simplest new thing, kinda like Candy Crush for braiding - instead of sparkles you get rainbow braids in crazy long crazy thick hair. Great stuff. Instead of combing through your own hair and shedding a brush full of expensive balayage, I get a couple balls of rainbow synthetic rainbow fuzz. So much better for so many reasons!

If you're giving this as a gift: After 3-4 days of using it for an hour or two a day, the head became looser. The head gets pulled around when I pull on the hair because one of the attachments is too lose to really work anymore. So I just hold the plastic head between my knees. Honestly it made me stop depending on the mannequin and start braiding on my own hair. Yeah...I don't use it as much since it broke. Still, I used it for like a week and a half and it's cheaper than going to a movie.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 11 year old. This was a HUGE hit! Kiddo loved the multi colored hair and it made for a very fun day of different hair styles and braids being done! My child has often times taken marker to mannequin heads to give it the different colors-so this made for a super happy child! I only have it four out of five stars for the fact that the hair falls out pretty easily. By the time the hairstyle picture attached to this was done, there was about 20-30 pieces of hair from the head on the floor in a pile! I sure hope we don't have a bald mannequin head by New Years Eve!!!

The head itself came with several clips, combs, and rubber bands which was a nice touch. This way, my child didn't need to go steal all of mine!
