Great bang for the buck!

I bought this 4 days ago for $75 shipped/sold by Amazon with Prime shipping. Which we all know isn't really Prime because they screw us out of the 2 day shipping we paid for. At this time the price is $107 shipped/sold by another vendor. So I am reviewing this based on the $75 I paid.
The packaging was terrible, who knows what Chinese diseases are harbored in that fabric, but it did an ok job of protecting the bar. The bar has scratches and scuff marks in the paint but for the price I can forgive that. The welds are just ok, I wouldn't want to trust this bar with 1k lbs, but for me that's fine. It'll never see more about 300 lbs since 1 rep max's aren't my thing and my older joints don't need that kind of abuse. There was a snap ring on one end that was missing and the label just fell off. Since this is a solid bar and there are no bearings in the ends the only thing the snap ring does is hold the sticker in place. So no big deal I guess.
For an average person building a home gym (ours is a basement gym) that is looking to stay fit or do moderate strength training this bar will work. I bought it because I like to superset exercises, don't like back squats, and barbell deadlifts are hard on my low back. This bar allows me to do deadlifts, squats, and farmer carry all with a single setup.
This bar delivered what I wanted at a great price with decent quality so I am extremely happy with it. I wouldn't be as happy at the regular price of $129 for it though, again, bang for buck I paid.
Great solid bar on a budget.

I'm happy with the bar, and even happier with the Amazon delivery driver who brought it right to my door step, considering the product weight.

A few friends recommended a hex bar since I've had issues with my lower back - I slip up no matter how much I focus on form It's taken a couple workouts to get used to the bar but I find the motion a lot more natural.

The bar was packaged smartly, wrapped in closely fit cardboard pieces, with a recycled cotton fiber cloth padding around that, and finally plastic wrap around that. It worked and was less waste than a full box strong enough to hold the weight would have been, and easier to move.

Bar weighs 50lbs exactly, according to my cheap digital scale, and is quite solidly made. I guess I expected it to seem flimsy at this price even though it was described as solid, not hollow, but it's a very rigid and strong chunk of metal.
Based on other comments I inspected each weld and all are solid and robust, but I agree, some are not pretty. I have no concern about weld strength.

I chose the bare or nickel bar, not black. I don't see any rust whatsoever, and none of the awful flaky chrome plating on some of my cheap equipment. The knurling is pronounced but not to the point I have to wear gloves, and I don't have tough hands.

I chose this bar in large part because it's the cheapest one that had reasonable room for plates. My expectations were not particularly high, but I've been pleasantly surprised. It's not a fancy product, but it's 100% functional and a great buy for someone on a budget.

The shipping was quick, but the packaging left a little to be desired. It was kind of shabby looking when it arrived. The bar is solid and feels good when lifting. The snap rings on the end of the plate loading area are a little deceiving. We thought they might holding on a couple of 2" sleeves that were hiding a couple of 1" bars. We weren't very upset, as the bar wasn't advertised this way. It just appeared that way upon first inspection. The bar isn't 100% symmetrical. It appears to have been individually fabricated, rather than manufactured. That shouldn't affect the functionality and performance of the bar though. All in all, it seems like a good product for a fair price. At this point we would recommend to others for purchase.
Gets the job done

Decent value, it's the only low budget item I've purchased for my gym. Like others have mentioned the packaging sucks and it came delivered with scuffs. The knurling is also not very good at all, but I'm thinking maybe the black painted one that I got makes it less gritty. I usually use grips though so not a big deal for deadlifts, but need chalk for carries or rows. It's also a bit warped/uneven, but this doesn't effect performance for me. It's not gonna fit more than three 45lb bumper plates on each side so if you're doing 350+ lbs you probably want to get something nicer or have standard steel plates.
BalanceFrom, not a HulkFit product.

First thing I noticed is this is from BalanceFrom and not HulkFit. Meaning if you buy from Hulkfit you pay an extra $10 or so more than if you buy it from BalanceFrom. That was my mistake and really not worth the hassle at this point to return/exchange. Buyer beware of that.
I can't review a HulkFit hex bar (unless they just put their brand disc in the end and retain it) since I don't have one.
I ordered this and received a BalanceFrom hex bar in black. It's a metal bar, received a little scuffing during shipping which I would expect. Wrapped in card board, then recycled material, then plastic wrapped. What else would you expect?
This bar weights 50lbs, not the advertised 45lbs. No additional documentation comes with the bar to state if the 50lbs supports the 1000lbs. I don't plan on going past 500lbs anyhow and I can tell a bar like this will easily support that weight without issue. The only way it won't is if a weld breaks and if that happens, you're probably a beast.
The knurling as others said is muted from having the black paint on it. I generally use gloves anyhow so its not a huge issue for me. If you go bare with heavier weight you may find the paint, or paint + chalk, slippery and affect your grip a little bit.
Overall, its the bar I wanted. If you go with bumper plates, you can fit 2 55lbs BalanceFrom bumper plates on each side giving you 270lbs. If you go with a single 55lbs plate on each side, you can stack iron plates on and let your one bumper do the brunt of the work. Or stop dropping your weights. Crossfit really has destroyed the golden rule, don't drop your weights, finish the exercise you wimp, or put less weight on it so you can do it properly.
Anyhow, first time buyer from Hulkfit and won't purchase from them again. BalanceFrom on the other hand does make nice bumper plates for those who like to drop their weights and their hex bar is an excellent price if buy from them, not this Hulkfit brand.
